Tracking guide
Understand the statuses of your exchange
Read the tracking steps to know when to send, wait for a confirmation or consult the review indications.
The short answer
The status indicates the observed step, not a promise of timing. A confirmed deposit is not yet a bank payment. On ClearFiat, "Paid" means an operator has recorded a payment with its reference; then check its receipt in your account.
Before depositing: wait for the correct instructions
The status Awaiting deposit indicates that the exchange is waiting for the expected transfer and may display its address. Verification required means that a control step must first be reviewed; the address remains hidden. Expired signals that the deposit window has ended. In these last two cases, do not use old instructions to send.
After sending: distinguishing detection and confirmations
Deposit detected indicates that a movement has been observed, while Confirmations in progress tracks its progression toward the required number. These states do not mean that a payment has been executed. Check the number displayed on the detail page and refresh the tracking if necessary, without sending the amount a second time.
Manual processing and manual review have different roles
Manual processing corresponds to the payment preparation step after deposit acceptance. Manual review indicates that a situation requires special examination, for example a different amount or a late deposit. Review the available information and keep your supporting documents. Neither of these statuses allows you to infer a guaranteed receipt time.
- Manual processing: the payment remains to be processed and referenced.
- Manual review: a decision is needed before continuing the journey.
| Status | What it indicates | The next verification |
|---|---|---|
| Verification required | A check precedes the deposit. | Do not send until the instructions are active. |
| Waiting for deposit | The exchange is waiting for the expected transfer. | Re-read the active instructions and the deadline before sending. |
| Deposit detected / Confirmations in progress | The movement is observed or awaiting the required confirmations. | Check the tracking; do not resend the amount. |
| Manual processing | Payment remains to be processed and referenced. | Monitor the exchange and any requested information. |
| Manual review | A situation requires special review. | Keep supporting documents and read the available instructions. |
| Paid / Refunded | An external operation has been recorded. | Match your reference and amount to the recipient account or wallet. |
| Expired / Cancelled / Rejected | The journey does not allow a new send on these instructions. | If you have already sent, keep the hash and request a review without a second transfer. |
Read closing statuses with their reference
Paid and Refunded correspond to external transactions recorded with a reference. Compare this reference with your account or wallet to verify receipt. Cancelled and Rejected indicate closure of the exchange, without by themselves constituting proof of funds movement. Keep the summary together with the supporting documents from your own account.
Points to check
- I consult the already created exchange and keep its reference.
- I distinguish the deposit status from the payment status.
- I do not resend funds simply because a status is slow to change.
Questions about this guide
Does a Bitcoin confirmation mean the transfer has been sent?
No. A confirmation concerns the recording of the transaction on the blockchain. The deposit check and then the recording of the bank payment are steps specific to the service and remain distinct.
Does the Paid status guarantee that my bank shows the funds?
No. It indicates the recording of the payment and its reference in ClearFiat. Compare this information with your account; if the funds do not appear, gather the reference, amount, and date to have the situation reviewed.
How long should I wait in manual processing?
The status name alone does not allow announcing a receipt time. The time depends in particular on processing, checks and the payment method. Check the exchange information and the Limits and timeframes page.
