01

Two sources to establish the rate

ClearFiat compares rates obtained from CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko for the chosen asset and currency. When both data are recent and sufficiently close, their average serves as the reference for the quote. The sources and the time of the rate are kept with it, so that the calculation remains consultable after its creation.

02

A quote may be temporarily unavailable

If a source does not respond, provides a rate that is too old or shows too large a discrepancy with the other, no new quote is issued. You can try again later and check the service status. The absence of a quote does not indicate that your crypto has lost value: it means that the calculation conditions are not met.

03

The validity period is part of the offer

Before creating the exchange, an expired quote must be replaced by a new one. If the exchange is already created, consult its own deposit window and instructions; do not recreate an operation to replace a deposit already sent. The market and fees may change between two quotes, even for the same amount of crypto.

04

Stablecoins also have a conversion rate

The price of a stablecoin is not replaced by a fixed rate in the calculator. A conversion from USDT or USDC to euro, for example, uses the rates available in that currency. You thus see an amount calculated for your operation, to which the presented fees apply, rather than an assumed equivalence between two currencies.
